Both students and business representatives learned the basics of web page design, as well as shared ideas about what main points of the business should be represented on the web page.

The ACTION team (Adams Community Technology Information Opportunity Network) used their grant to open up school based computer labs for the local community. They offered a number of computer classes ranging from "Introduction to Computers" to "Microsoft Access" . Classes were offered for almost all age groups from seniors to elmentary school age. They also purchased a laptop computer and projection system to share with industrial, educational and library partners.

The team persisited in overcoming numerous obstacles, including locating IBM computers to use in addition to the school's standard Macintoshs' as well as battling indecisiveness and an inability for the town to make financial commitments regarding broad band service.

The classes were a huge success, especially among seniors who wanted to use the internet to connect with family members. The popularity of the classes demonstrated to the community a real need to continue these community training sessions.
