The goal of our project is to establish a community newsletter to bring the community together through communication. Another goal is to help our people acquire and use technology to help our people in the economic and educational world. The newsletter will help to bridge the gap between the 1,200 member Taos Pueblo and the technological advances in the world today. Because parts of the Taos Pueblo have no electricity for computers or the Internet, we believe that the establishment of a newsletter is the best way to bridge the gap. The project will be headquartered in the Red Willow Learning Center at Taos Pueblo and will utilize their computers, youth and community volunteers.

In partnership with community members, the youth will produce the newsletter which will do in depth coverage of hot topics in the community, inform the community on technological advances in computers, how to retrieve knowledge and information about other tribes all over the world through the Internet, how to market to the world the arts and crafts from our community. The newspaper will communicate to the community what is happening in the world that we are in today.

The newsletter will do in-depth interviews with the elders in the community, who have traditional and indigenous knowledge to impart to the entire tribal community, thus giving the youth a sense of who they are and who they came to be where they are today and where they are going in the future.
