The purpose of this project is to assist in the preservation of the Taos Pueblo Culture by using technology that will set an example to our people concerning the importance of acquiring and using the technology to benefit our people. It is understood that this project will set a precedence for future endeavors.

Every community has a story to tell. Many of those stories are among our elders and must be handed down to the younger generations. This project will assit in developing an electronic record of those stories. Generations will work together to produce it, protect it and enjoy it.

The idea behind our project is to seek community members to participate in a documentary of Pueblo Life and Culture as seen through our eyes. One focus will be the preservation of herbology, as many of the elders that posses this knowledge are few. Another focus will be to record the old boarding school days as our future generations progress into the competitive world today.

Our grandfathers and grandmothers are here for a short time and then they are gone forever.They are priceless treasures just like our children and getting them together to record a part of our culture and history will preserve what we hold dear. We will celebrate our differences and treasure our similarities as we remember our past to move on to the future.
