Southwest Nebraska Resource Conservation and Development, Inc. is a non-profit corporation encompassing the counties of Chase, Dundy, Frontier, Furnas, Hays, Hitchcock, Perkins and Red Willow. Membership includes the counties, Natural Resources Districts, communities, economic development groups and other civic organizations. The mission of the Southwest Nebraska RC&D is to facilitate regional cooperation for the development and wise use of natural and human resources to improve the standard of living and quality of life for all residents in the area.

As a MIRA CSO, the Southwest Nebraska RC&D purchased technology equipment for web page development and for use in presentations in order to increase its capacity to provide information and reach out to business across the eight counties it encompasses. The web page equipment was used to upgrade the organization's website, which had not been updated in a year, increase visibility of the RC&D's work and provide relevant information to the local government and local businesses. The RC&D was also able to train its staff in technology software and internet use and, partnered with the local community college, was able to conduct trainings for businesses and community members in technology use.

The RC&D also took part in a joint CSO workshop that provided information and skills on grant writing to local organizations and individuals.
